Existing customer - DVR upgrade possible?

Hey,

I am a long time DirecTV customer. 2 receiver - 2 room setup. Total Choice programming package for $50 a month.

I'd really like a DVR system. I see it is free for new customers and 200+ channels for $50. Seems like the same as what I have, but with DVR. Can I get this deal?

Or what deal can I get as an existing customer?

As an existing customer, you may be eligible for a free DVR upgrade. The best thing to do would be to call D* and see what they say. You may have to play CSR roulette to get the best deal.

Another option may be a stand alone dvr u can pick up from best buy or circuit city and avoid all the drama of getting a dtv csr. You will have to know someone or you might be handy enough to get the second line run in.Hope this helps.
