I think that if we cancelled one third of the foreign aid we spend annually, N.O. could be rebuilt within 10 years. First thing that would have to be done is to engineer a better levee system.

I got an idea, how about taking that money and working on our poor and homeless here in our own country. We are great at helping out the poor on foreign soil, but have completely forgotten about all the people around here on our own soil. Let's take care of our home before we try and fix someone elses.
