That's the craziest thing, I was even watching it at 6:30 just fine. Every weekend about this time the Me and Thistv signal vanishes from 101w, and I can't get it back even if I move the dish either way! It's happened now 3 weekends in a row, but this is the first weekend I've had it motorized so I could move it and see if it comes back. It doesn't. GEB channel and others on there still work fine.

Anybody know if they fire up a special transponder for a couple hours Saturday night to broadcast something, that blocks this signal out?

Are these also still hidden on 103w?

They are both working fine here. It could be something local to you that is firing up at this time every weekend.

What time does it go out what about 7:30 - 8:00 PM EDT? I will make a note to check next Saturday.

Yes, about then. There's no way it's anything local to me. I'm deep in the woods, 25+ miles to the nearest commercial airport, and there's nothing around here that could be fired up to block the signal microwave-wise. The last two weekends I was using a Satelliteav Geosatpro C2 lnb. Signal went out and never came back before 9:40pm or so if I was lucky. Yesterday I hooked up my orthomode feedhorn with Norsat 8115's. Signal still went out tonight, but came back quickly, I'm not sure why.

I will look for it next Saturday.

Even my local ME-TV station OTA has this problem. The picture will completely go away after pixalating a while. I know it is the Satellite feed because only the local ID Bug remains. I 'll have to check the FTA feed next time.

Does this sound like a heat problem? You may be getting equinox typed reflections of the sun to heat up the lnbf or whatever too much at the time you say, but requires angles of the sun since it started. What is location, north lat.? next to metal bldg.? no wind and hot?. Losing ME-TV ota is when the signal is turned down after the sun sets; would it not?

But I am watching 119 Anik C for ME and 2.2 digital for ota ME; I have a very low signal level, even after sundown. It is at the lowest level of broadcast; local too! But when I watch Batman now it works fine. The other day, it advertised in "spanish" to me, you know, METV. And they will "pull the plugs" and let fly blank occasionally too; where is ME without them?

I watched about the first 30 minutes of Lost In Space last night until I couldn't take it anymore and had to change channels. I'm thinking it was around 7pm CDT. Nothing strange happened with the signal during that time. About the only strange thing I can think of that did happen, is that I actually tried to sit thru another one of these episodes again.

Yeah, they were MUCH better watching as a little kid... lol. The first 2 years or so were actually pretty good, then they just went to crap and nonsense.

i have metv and the local station put in their own commericals cutting out good scenes and when metv about to show their promo on their new fall schedule they cut it out with their local commericals. there is way too many commericals on tv anymore.

Getting signal73/quality 99 now, about normal for MeTV. After some messing around with the skew, that is, at first nothing would come in. @648pm...didn't think to check earlier.
Been having some problems with them lately too, but I'm beginning to think its the skew on my old c-band feedhorn not staying set.
edit to add: Now that I think of it-I used to have the same problem when they were on 87W also, at times I would have no signal, or it would drop out completely for some reason. Maybe they're just having problems keeping a steady signal uplinked.

I am getting "no signal" on ME as of 7pm Eastern. This is coming fine. Anyone else not getting ME?

I got home at around 6:15pm EST, and there was no signal on either This or Me. This is back, but ME is still among the missing right now....
Could be I don't yet have the skew just perfect on my ortho feedhorn that was just installed, but This is working?. It's raining now, but perhaps I can check it tomorrow.

I only have a 6 ft dish in mid-Michigan, maybe we should also all mention what size dish we are using.

Well, just checked again, and ME is magically back at 70% quality without my doing anything. It typically comes back around 9:45 or so, but I forgot to check around then.

Tonite, after just checking at 1015pm C, Me-tv is now showing 92/99 , up from 73/99, I did nothing to the 10' dish. Yesterday , while it was a bit cloudy I moved my 7.5Winegard over to 101, and the best I could get on the smaller dish was about 55/70, tonight that signal is completely gone. But , it has rained a lot with the hurricane outband rains earlier today, and that may have messed up the little dish.
(its fixed but the mount is not as rock-solid as I would like). I still think they have problems with a steady signal level.

I think you are right. I'm slowly dialing in my polar mount and orthofeed and such on my Sadoun 6footer, and as I get it tighter and closer to perfection, ME's signal is holding out better. I did have a brief loss yesterday just after 6pm with "The Rifleman" going out like a switch. I move the dish 3 points WEST, and it came back in, then faded out again. I then moved it back to the "normal" 3 points EAST, and after a couple minutes it came back normal.

ME has been gone here the last two nights after 10pm Eastern. Anyone else losing it at this time? It's back on when I get up in the morning around 5am. I get cranky when I miss the Twilight Zone.
