Disney CEO Bob Iger says ESPN will evenrtually go to a la carte.
Here's the kicker. At today's costs, Iger says an ESPN subscription will cost consumers $36 per month...
I think that is an absurd amount of money for ONE channel.....

I am a rather enthusiastic sports fan...But at $36 per month. my enthusiasm will wane rather quickly
IMO this is Iger's way of trying to scare the public out of their wish to be able to pick channels they want to watch rather than be roped into bundled services.

You got it !

Back in the c-band days you could sometimes pick your channels, yup they were expensive too

I see just about everything going ala cart or even with smaller affordable bundles by the end of this decade. The current sat/cable model of bundling that force's you to pay for more channels you don't want or need , will collapse due to growing customer pressures :cord cutting /cord shaving.
