Hi everyone,

I am a new installer. This morning, I installed an International dish and with the old birddog version I got 99% for 101w and 40% on 95w horizontal 18v tp. (standard rec. and 4x4 switch). On the setup page, I got 100% for 101w and 60% on 18v for 95w. However, I got the error on 13v vertical TP, and I could not do anything more. I thought Direct TV only uses 18V on 95w. Should I replace the 4x4 with the 6x8 switch or autoconfig it? Please help me, so I can close this job. Thank you very much.

40% isn't high enough even on the birdog. Repeak the dish and replace the 4X4 with a 6X8. Why are you doing a new install and using a 4X4?

sounds like a International customer with SD only so he only needs one dish

Unless the 119 ..is needed for Spanish or locals then you need an 18x20 with a 6x8 a 4x4 would be needed for the international to combine the 101 and 95.

40% Is still to low repeak or check los

We use the 6X8 to combine them. We haven't see the 4X4's in almost 3 years

I'm lost, people that stay SD only get the 18 inch dish. So wouldn't we be a 101 market?

I would think so. You should have 3x4s too. A 4x4 is always needed with a odu36. But a 6x8 would also work in place of it. Direcsat issues 4x4s in a NJ market I travel to now and then. But my current home market has locals on 119 so it's irrelevant anyhow.
