Reciever originally authed and used in CA, I now want to connect in a new state. Dish has my new billing address and the paperwork is ok on their end, and i'm only getting this error on one reciever of two, so i'm kinda confused on this.

I own my own gear and installed it myself at both locations.

I have a 722 and a 322 with a dish 1000+, 44 switch.

I set up the dish at the new location and hooked up the 322. (My big HD TV had not arrived yet so I left the 722 in the packing box). At first I had a problem with TV2, but it turns out I had a diplexer backwords so TV2 was all fuzzy and crappy looking. After doing a check switch, it did it's downoading thing and the reciever worked fine. getting all my channels, correct guide and time, etc etc...

A few days later my HDTV arrived and I hooked up the 722. Ran check switch, good on all 4 sats, no errrors, good signal. The problem is, the guide and time are still on CA, and the locals I'm getting are still CA locals so error 120 (You cannot view this channel outside of normal viewing range) is the only thing that comes up on locals. All non-local SD and HD channels are working fine.

Now why would my 322 "adjust" to the new location, but the 722 won't?

I called dish and spent an hour either sitting on hold or talking to someone with an accent so thick I had to say, "I'm sorry, what?" 2 million times.

Anyway, they said they would send a "hit" to the box and it would fix everything. He had me check software and it is up to date. Well nothing ever changed and the 722 is still on CA time and channel guide + locals.

I have tried to call dish several times, but after sitting on hold for 20 min I just hang up. Is there any kind of download or something I can force, or some other option other then sitting on hold for ever, only to end up talking to someone in pakistan that I cant even understand?

Thanks for any help.

with the 722 not being connected at the time you changed your service location,it never updated to the new location.you will need another hit for that location and the thing that sucks about that is you have to play dish csr roulette until you find someone that actually understands and does what you need.
you may have better luck talking to advanced tech

Whats odd is that I didn't have to call dish for the 322, it downloaded fine and had the correct programming after set up. I just assumed the 722 would be the same...
