KARZ and WMQF scrambled WNGS black screen.
I did a blind scan and rescaned with same issue.
KFDF This tv still on;)
Sorry for the misspelled (channels) in title above.
Yeah, what's up with that? The CAS still shows free after a rescan.Weird.
You dont suppose they are somehow uplinking an ATSC signal and decoding it back to NTSC for broadcast at the LP stations?
That would be one way to kill off DVB FTA.

neither station have a LP translator so that isnt right.

Also KARZ isnt owned by Equity. That was sold to Nexstar (who owns KARK) a while back. They've been keeping the spot warm on the TP :)

found some info on WMQF

The station made its flash-cut to digital shortly before the June 2009 transition cutoff, with two subchannels active; however, its signal is very weak, and currently offers no programming, other than a continuous ticker that says "19.1 and 19.2 coming soon"

so it sounds like the new owners possibly took over

TVNewsday.com is reporting the following from the Equity Bankruptcy Auction:

Marcus & Joni Lamb's Word of God Fellowship, aka Daystar, snatched up 16 outlets for $7.4 million. Among them: WNGS Buffalo, WNYI Syracuse, KQUP Spokane-Pullman-Coeur d'Alene, KWBM Springfield MO, KCBU & KNBX Salt Lake City and WBIF Panama City.
"There are three of you--Three special people that the Lord is speaking to about a $1,000,000 gift. One of you is a professional athlete. One of you is a successful businessman and one of you is a woman that God has greatly blessed and if you're one of those people that God is speaking to call and let us know. When He speaks to you about a significant gift like a $1,000,000 He's got a significant miracle on His mind."

(Marcus Lamb, "Daystar Fall Share-A-Thon," September,2005)

Oh Dear Lord please save us!-Brother Bubba

Well I was being silly when I posted that ATSC remark, but I've not seen any signal like that, so who knows, they can up/dn anything they want I guess as long as it is within there allocated BW.
I've not even tried to keep up with the drama regarding the 123W stations.Who did what, where and at what power level.
I never really got the continuance of the low power deal anyway. Initially to serve remote acces areas, but wht not make them digital now too? (Rhetorical Q. Analog is usable at low power and the "better" digital sig is not)If no one is on that freq, why not high power, and if that's allowed why mandate the chance at all.
Must they stay at minimum output as to not interfere with a hp digital mode station on the same freq at x distance away? Well, looks like in fairness the hp station should have to reduce power to keep from interfering with the lp signal.
.......or the analog rx's are able to reject the digital sig, but the precious digital rx's get trashed by a good ol' analog signal on the freq.
Progress....I continue being impressed with this mandate.
Where's my lil' rant guy....oh there he is.....lol:rant:

KWWF Disappeared OTA with the end of analog. It was still on the area cable systems until sometime Thursday. According to a search of the FCC database, Equity filed for permission to broadcast a digital signal under special authority from another tower.

I noticed it dropped off G18 123W yesterday. Time to circle the wagons and draw a line!

Just how many AMGTV channels do you need? There are still 4 available. At least when they were all RTN they at least had different time slots for the shows. AMG has them all on the same time.

The only reason I still have a dish pointed at 123w is Retrojams. If it goes, I'll move it to another bird.

euro
Im kinda in the same boat. Right now I have a dish at 123W mainly for AMGTV and Retro Jams but been thinking of moving that dish because other than wrestling and the occasional Cardinals game there isnt much on there anymore

"this" will remain?

looks like Daystar started the ball rolling on some of their stations they acquired

On June 12, 2009 a license to cover was granted to Word of God Fellowship for WNYI by the FCC, though full ownership has not transferred over from EBC Syracuse Inc. yet
