Hello,
My uncle used to work for CBC up here in Canada, as a well as work privately for broadcasters.
He had a satellite dish ( 3-4' Dia.) , A receiver, and I believe there's a motorized mount for the dish as well.
I'm trying to find a proper home for this equipment rather than scrapping it...
Perhaps someone could give me some ideas where I could go, who I could approach.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If possible post up some pictures of the equipment. Perhaps someone here will be interested if they are close to your location. :)

The first set of pics is the exciter that he had...
Then there are two dishes..
A mounting bracket...
Not shown is the motor for repositioning.
It's buried in another spot..

Nice FM exciter just need a PA and you can have your own broadcast station!
Dish is nice too!
I would be too far away to ship, maybe someone local in S Ont can respond. Good luck!

Hi Dutman, I'll be in Toronto in a couple of weeks. I also would be interested to see a photo of the motor. Is there any way you can show the dish a little more? I am interested what its diameter is.

Actually the output of the exciter would be about 10 watts max...that and an antenna with a bit of gain would get you a decent low power transmitter. College stations used these all the time years ago -
