If you want a crazy numbering for the Dish episodes, try Northern Exposure's first 3 seasons:

Explain that!
Someday they will show the other 3 more complete seasons on UNI and I get to see these and those.

Ep numbers

On the episode numbers it is amusing to see the numbers skip. If you wind up with 2 eps back to back from 2 wks and they skip a number always makes me amused and wonder why the network would release them that way.

Episode numbers sometimes appear to be skipped because when the show was airing during it's original run it may have had a "special" two episode showing which was shown in the guide at the time as one extra long episode. The two episodes may have only been shown together that one time but that showing required a separate episode number. From that point forward, when the shows are shown separately, they must each now have a different epsiode number. This type of practice contributes to the sometimes strange numbering of episodes for a show.
