EHD content can you play on another account?

My buddy is coming into town family is sick. He wants to bring his EHD and play it on my receiver. Can you do that if it's authorized? Both of us have Dish.

No, the EHD is married to your friend's account and receivers. In fact, if you plug that EHD into your receiver, it will want to format it. Avoid that at all costs......

Yeah, he can bring a receiver and make it work, temporarily.... It's not account stacking, his friend has an account, all he is doing is sharing a dish antenna.

I would say since it is at a house with Dish service and then only to watch his recorded stuff probably not a big deal.
