Echostar SRD-4000 - what is it?

I found an Echostar SRD-4000 (sticker on the back says made by Houston Satellite) in the Goodwill store, they want ten bucks for it. Is there anything this is useful for? FTA maybe?

It has inputs on the back marked Horizontal/C-band and Vertical/Ku band and a bunch of other stuff I don't recognize, also says "Digicypher equipped" on the front.

Sounds like a C/Ku Receiver that is digital capable...probably worth the 10$ for sure... try www.orbitmagazine.com there is another site that is more helpful that lists sats and applications... also try www.skyvision.com for more info.

It would work for analog feeds on KU or C-Band
