It sounds like they are require customer's to sign up for the DVR advantage to get the "free" DVR. Sounds like smoke and miirors. They take away the "fee's" and re add them into the "package" price.. I wonder how much extra this DVR package is gonna cost over the standard at packages

HD RSNs didnt roll out because not a lot of content and providers wanted more money. Carl Vogel (programming) says it will be launched sometime in 2007.

I don't agree with that. The best option for those of us who don't watch ESPN and other expensive sports channels, is to switch to the Family tier and supplement with Netflix/Blockbuster. I just signed up with Blockbuster and plan to downgrade from AT120 to Family tier in the next few days.

Good luck! I went to do that Friday and was hit with HD Enabling Fee, DVR Free and some other 6.00 fee I don't recall making the family pack like 46.00/mo

Did you all miss the part about the new 612 single-user HD DVR? (I assume it has a single output, but retains dual-tuner and OTA capabilities.)

From past nomenclature, a "612" would be a single-tuner, dual-output receiver. Brilliant !

Not too excited about external storage. DVR is enough for me and usually don't have time to watch the stuff I record. Disappointed at the lack of HD content presented.

The point is, there should be NO fee. This should be a standard feature. It is simply an enabled USB port. They can make their money by selling branded USB hdd's, if they want. Their new ad slogan should not be "It's about Time", it should be "It's about Nickel and Dime".

I can think of a lot of reasons why it is a fitting slogan....... "It's About Time"

I think alot of subscribers will all be saying the same thing...."It's About Time"... when they finally give us what we have been waiting for...... and still waiting for...... too bad the year has just started though. 2007 is only 8 days old..

Yes, Yes, YEs. Any off the shelf USB2.0 HDD!!!! This is great; I am not surprised by the "enabling fee."
