Echostar 17 Launch - June 19

Hughes has filed for June 19 launch of Echostar 17 (previously named Spaceway or Jupiter).

Echostar 17 will add 100 Gbps of capacity to the Hughes network and provide customer service through 60 spot beams

This satellite uses technology Viasat alleges infringes their patents. Viasat has sued Space Systems/Loral (the manufacturer) in a patent lawsuit.
