echo in at&t

lately all my phone calls on at&t have been echoing back. it is really annoying.
it sounds like a digital delayed reverb when i speak into my phone i can hear my own voice echo back into the ear piece. it really sucks.

I think the carriers are using a voip back haul, and not making it public, as I get the same
echo on straight talk (which is verizon), and my net 10 phone.

its quite anoying. couldn't they adjust their software settings to eliminate this? I know there is a long delay sometimes between when i speak and when the other person hears my voice. high latency. I remember the good old days of analog cell phones when the voice quality was good as a landline phone without these problems. You may get some static in fringe areas but it was a full spectrum audio quality.
