Eastern Arc Satellites

I currently have Western Arc ( 110,119,129) and a side Dish for 61.5 ( locals HD). The H3 automatically uses the highest signal value in selecting which satellite to use for a channel that is on more than 1 satellite. I get all the HD and SD channels. I used the Western Arc because I use to get Distant Locals on 119 and when they went away I never went to 1 Dish.

I have the full Eastern Arc, including 77, and I still don't get the SD duplicates of some national channels.[/QUOTE
If you actually have 77 you have all the SD channels you subscribe to that are in the long list Dare2be gave. My post specifically said many SD, never said all.

Mine are also. I think Topeka, Chicago, Springfield Mo, St Louis and a few others as well?

Seems to be size related. Those are all fairly large or very large markets. Birmingham and Atlanta are on both arcs for example, but smaller markets in Alabama and Georgia like Montgomery, Huntsville, etc are not

One thing I think is spotbeam coverage. There is a huge spot that covers AL and GA at 129, as well as spots on 61.5. Doesn't really waste space I guess to duplicate since they can't use those spots for anything else, unless they had enough spotbeam coverage to fudge CONUS by putting the same channel every spot but I doubt they do

To really be able to extract themselves from the duplication problem, they seem to need new satellites
