I currently have a SC e75 dish with a stacked lnb. I've also heard it called "wishbone" and "flashlight" style. I'm going to exchange it for an e75 quad lnb. Is it likely I'll need to re-align my dish? Is the signal strength likely to be higher or lower?

does it have the single LNB or the "beer cans" with the switch?

If its the beer cans then you shouldnt have to adjust the LNB. The signal shuld be the same. The only advantage of the quad is the switch is built in and you can have 4 recievers to it

Yes, it's the "beer can" style I'll be replacing with the "quad" lnb. It's so I can add my third SC receiver.

It's good to hear I shouldn't need to re-align the dish. I've been told by SC I'll need to call and have all receivers "hit" to update the type of lnb I'll be using.

correct

Beer cans are stacked and the quad is non-stacked. Otherwise you will not get 1/2 the channels :)
