DVRHD34 channels numbers not showing ?

When I change the channels on my DVRHD34 Genie it is not showing the channel numbers or clock what is the fix to this please

How long do you have the banner time set for? 2 seconds? 4 seconds?

I got this version Wednesday. Since then, my HR34 Genie has been worthless.
