DVR locks up, reboots

I have the basic DirecTV DVR that likes to lock up and reboot at 4:30pm ish. The TODO list is wiped out and any in-progress recordings are wiped out. Does this mean I have to get a new DVR, or push a software download? Either way I am screwed, right? I have about 85 hours of recording saved on each DVR. If I have to reload firmware, how do I? Thanks

sounds like hard drive issues ...cheaper to replace...the latest software download wont fix this issue

Thats what I was afraid of..... Thanks.. Gotta go record all of my DVR recordings to tape or disk before I call DTV. Yuckkkkk
