Recording DVD's from Dish 721 PVR's?

Has anyone had experience hooking up a DVD recorder to a 721? If so, are there any DVD recorders that are better for this than others?

What are DVD RAM's?

Thanks for the reply. What are DVD RAM's? I am pretty non-techy when it comes to this stuff.

You hook up your 721 to your DVD recorder. The best way to hook it up is by using the S Video connection.

DVD RAM is the media the DVD Recorder uses. The type of DVD media used is depended on the type of DVD recorder you use. :)

They are a form of re-writeable dvd that is supposed to be re-recordable for thousands of times... the higher cost Panasonic dvd Recorders also come with Hard drives making editing easier...but panasonics only record to dvd-r and rams, there are brands that record to Rw's and the +R formats as well.
