DVD vs. HD

Just curious - would you say that DirecTV HD has a better or worse picture than standard DVD's?

Better, no doubt...I have a 106" wide HD projector, Blu-Ray yes, HD DVD yes, but regular DVD no way, not at that size, D* HD picture much better.
Not even close.

I dont have any doubt that directv hd is better than dvd. in my opinion if standard dvd is better on someones tv than directv hd or any hd for that matter , there is something wrong with the hookup on the hd side. the pictures are vastly different.

Better. Now the SD is NOT in its current state. Its degraded over the years as more and more crap channels got squeezed into the limited transponders.
