I am not sure if the molex connector is the problem, I hope it is but Ghia mentioned that channels can be picked up by manually entering the transponders.

I can get a TP to lock and scan its channels if I manually ad the TP select it and then scan TP. I can not get Blind Scan to work.

It sounds more like a driver issue, if I force install an older driver and try the blind scan it does the same thing that Ghia mentioned, but the current installer only has the current driver.

I found an extra molex cable for the power supply, so now that connection is made. It did not help the issue. It still behaves as before.

I will look at the driver more. Maybe it picked the wrong driver during the install or maybe it is just that the driver does not completely support everything with 64bit Windows 7.

Thanks for the help crackt and qwert. I have tried to remove the software, drivers, manually resign the drivers, reinstall software, etc. No dice with the blindscan. I believe it is a driver issue, although I have verified the correct driver is installed.

I dug out an old P4 box that had xp loaded but it does not have a PCIE interface. I'm not taking the W764 one back to a 32 bit OS so I guess I am out of luck. I guess I should have purchased the pci card.

im not exactly sure how ghia lockt signals without the molex connected. i did not find voltage on the coax without it connected. as for the other issues your having ghia. it must be a 64 bit issue becuz im running a pcie2006 and it works fine under xp 32bit. there are a few things id change in the software but otherwise it works fine. and by fine i mean as beta as everything else in this hobby. haha

Ok I got my correct USB device!

Scanned the satellite I'm pointing at nicely...

However, the sat list is in a strange eastern format ( I gather 360 - (west position) is what it shows as). Fine, I can work around that. But I can't figure out how to drive the motor the right way...I'm only experienced with USALs, which I can't figure out on this...

If I select a different satellite, it turns the dish the wrong direction.

I think it's in my settings...I'm @ 40.399013, -74.171562 and am not sure what to "pretend" I'm at so this software turns the motor correctly. If I enter this info legit for Diseq1.2 it tells me the sat is out of range

In the meantime, I'll drive it with my sathawk pvr800 and check out whats up there, cuz this thing is getting stuff on my true south sat (Horizons 2) that the sathawk didn't get

Not familiar with that application but if your Latitude is set to South it will move backwards and if your Longitude is set to east it will show out of range for NA sats. Try changing your settings accordingly and it should work.

Same here. Just got mine today and will start playing with it in a couple of days.

i think your lat should be set at -(180 -74) = (-106). just a guess. or else id try -(360 -74) = (-286). and if that dont work id try 106 and 286.

one of those should work.

Your longitude should be set to 360 - (Long °W)
So in your case it should be set to: 285.8 °E

You guys are scaring me. I have one enroute. It had better be a D model which my order form clearly shows. They messed up my last order.

Well it got here and guess what its a C model. Thats 2 for 2 screwed up. Not cool indeed, these people really need to get their act together. They did say on the phone they would ship the correct model today with a return slip for the wrong one. Will see how that goes. Nuts.

I got mine and it's the right one (2104D) I was really dreading have to send it back...

So far so good on the scans just need to get used to the software...

Also, I have yet to get around the windows 7 diver signing thing, as the ver 3.0 drivers are not digtaly signed... My solution .... Use XP.

Did you install the software from the included CD or from the latest one downloaded from DVBWorld's website to get the 2104D running?

I used the drivers on Sadoun's page for this product. (In windows 7...just verify you want to install the drivers and realize it's an unknown company)

This only works for W7 32bit. You can not install unsigned drivers in W7 64bit without some creative work arounds.

i want to purchase this. but i have a ques i cant figure. it says you can surf the internet. how? what enables the box access to free internet? what are the speeds? if i could get free internet i think the last piece of the puzzle is solved any info on this end would be extremely helpful.

NA sat internet providers use proprietary equipment, this or any other generic dvb consumer hardware you buy wont work with NA inet providers.

Expornet, WildBlue, Huges, all use their own equipment.

okay so that part is moot unless i sub. i thought maybe they were like how free wifi is if i lived in the city. but is the box comparable to how well a coolsat 6000 worls aas user friendly or do i need to use multiple apps for real fta. i see so many apps and i want one for win xp for real fta
