I need some help to set up dvbdream to stream over the net. I already know how to stream for LAN, but not for the internet where you don't know the receiver's IP address.

ENOUSA,
You dont need to know the ip address of the pc Your streaming to, just Yours
go to www.whatsmyip.com on the pc that is hosting the channel
write down the ip address(that will be the wan Ip) , You will need it later to give to your buddies . The pc's that You are streaming to will need vlc, free software(VideoLAN - Free and Open Source software and video streaming solutions for every OS!)
You will also need to open a port on the host pc example http://192.150.555:8000
8000 is you port number, the pc that You are streaming to will enter the wan ip plus port number on vlc that you wrote down and if the port is open and You are streaming they should be able to see Your stream , I'll help You out, if You have any more questions, just ask

Thank you Covack to helping me out,

The problem is that I have the newest VLC and can't set that up for streaming to http, from DVBDream. I check that option in VLC to play locally and it doesn't play.
When I go to my laptop and try to type the IP address with the port number it asking me for the router's password which is OK, but then nothing. And the main computer with the DVB card shows nothing in VLC. Altough in DVBDream I have everything working.

I guess I would need the settings for DVBDream and VLC the new releases.

I used this guide to try to set it up but it is too old now and everything has different and more options now. From DVBDream I go Tools -} VLC and VLC comes back with all kinds of error messages.
DVBDream 1.4i; VLC 0.9.6
As you can see I've been playing with that for a while with no luck.

Enousa,
Im at work today, I will try and help You out tonight ,let Me take a look
I dont have the newest version of vlc, I dont think it would be that different though

Enousa
You may already know all this, but here is what works for Me, I take no credit
they are some people on these forums and others with great knowledge about these things that I read and ask and learned from
Things You will need Your need to know You ip address for the pc that is hosting the channel, If you dont know what it is , go to start run, type in command, black screen will appear, type in ipconfig, press enter, write this number down, You will need it later
Open dvbdream select lan streaming under preference, I would leave 18 kb for now
select the channel You want after it starts up minus it to the taskbar, You still should be able to hear the sound, now go to vlc open it
select file open network stream, now to view it on another pc say at work or a friend
select stream/save then select settings, then select http type in the number You wrote down type in port # go down to mpeg ts video/mp2v/64/0.5 audio mp2a/32/1
select all elementary streams and play locally press ok You should see a picture pop up playing You can play around with the settings depending on your network speed and the one's viewing the stream network speed the higher the speed the better the picture
now on Your work or friends pc that has vlc installed click on file/open file type enter the wan ip that you got from whatsmyip plus the port you selected , click ok, they should be able to see it depending you have the port open on the router. I hope I helped you

Thanks Covack but still nothing.
What versions do you have?
What is the client address in DVBDream?
This VLC streaming option has two screen to fill out.
could be the router though because it is asking for password on the main computer also now but when I give nothing even if I checked play locally option.

Have you tried the RENDERLESS mode in DVBDream?

This is the link I meant to copy last in reply.

Sorry, for not answering for a while but a car accident had happened. Anyway I did everything as directed but picture doesn't even poops up. I have a screenshot of my settings for double check but don't know a place to upload it to.
If you can do a screenshot of your settings that might be really useful for me.
