Duplicate Channels Created After Reboot? Software Issues??

This is starting to become very frustrating. I am trying to work my way around the AZBox to see how it runs, scans, etc, Before doing the major jobs re uploading new files to it. My Premium Plus was giving me the Blinking Red X again, - ie no Signal AGAIN, (after I tried to fine tune the Dish for a better Signal) so I tried to resync the Actuator on the VBOX III Dish Controller. It didn't work so I killed the channels and reBlind scanned and got about 175 channels on 97.0W. I also reset the V Box III to its zero point. I had about 7 Duplicate channels so I deleted them. Before putting my AZBox to sleep I decided to reboot as I have read so many posts where it says its important to reboot. So I reboot and my TV Channels now ALL show up as Duplicated Channels, that is there are now 2 of almost every Channel I scanned in?? BUT these channels were NOT Duplicated on the initial Scan.

Is this a unstable software Issue? Why would this happen? Now I have no choice but I guess to delete the entire channel list and reBlindscan again!!

Jsattv,

Trust me, we understand your frustrations, but don't let it get you discouraged. I think youmust have something corrupt in your fle system, somewhere. But, I would be hard pressed to identify it precisely. The AZBox is not the best box to begin learning on, since it requires a bit more of computer usage and savvy and it does have its quirks. The best box to start out with is a Coolsat 5000. But, nevermind that, you will manage just fine with your AZBox. Just don't cuss too much while you are at it and if you get overly frustrated, just walk away for awhile. You will eventually get it accomplished and you will LOVE it!

Read the following information and try some of these suggestions first:

Then, ensure that you dial your dish in precisely on ONE satellite and and reroute your cables so that they go directly to the LNBF and not through any switch or motor mover. This is just to rule out any discrepancies with that part of the system so that we can concentrate on one satellite and just your AZBox.

Be sure to power down your equipment before disconnecting and connecting any cables to prevent any possible damage.
