Dumb hopper/ joey question

How is the joey "connected" to the hopper? Ethernet? Wifi? Or coax?

Coax is the standard installation method a Dish Tech will use.

After installation, you are free to use Ethernet/WiFi if you choose. Coax is the only supported connection though.

You mean that the tech will use coax by default? Any benefit of using coax instead of wifi or ethernet? It might be easier for the tech to use ethernet in my case

That may be true, but the tech will not hook it up via Ethernet. It does have to have coax to setup and authorize on the install.
