The local cable company on ESPN2 is broadcasting the woman's Oklahoma game and the alternate ESPN is broadcasting the Kansas game. These teams are in the Big12 conference which our local college( Texas Tech ) plays in. These games are on Dish 145 and 147. Yet they are blacked out. The local cable and uverse use conference affiliation in choosing the teams to broadcast locally. Dish uses state rules. Since Kansas and Oklahoma are not in Texas, I am blacked out. Whoever negotiates these rules at Dish is clueless and should be replaced. Many of my friends who could be Dish customers have told me they stay with the competition because of Dish's blackout rules. There is no problem with the Men's NCAA tournament. All four channels CBS, TRU, TNT, and TBS are not using blackout rules. ESPN should be upset with the NCAA for limiting them.

Who owns ESPN? Who is DISH having a contract issue with? Answer to both is DISNEY who also owns ABC.
