dual service receiver

will we ever see the long awaited recieiver that can tune both services (xm & sirius)?
as i recall thiere was a stipulation in both services licences that required this !!
would really be a boon for sports fanatics that want to listen to different conferences, not to mention the music mixes available

I don't think we'll ever see it. Any company that provides a service wants to make it as difficult and inconvient as possilble to switch providers..

Granted there are some people who would subscribe to both, alot of people would sign up with 1 provider, not pay the bill, owe that provider money and start on a clean slate with the other provider!

That reminds me of some of the receivers overseas that has multiple card slots for different providers.

it was mandated by the FCC that the companies work to develop a receiver that can do both. The problem is they never put a deadline on it so it could be next year or it could be 2020
