Dual LNB question

Now that I have the new QPH-031 to install, is there anything to be done on the reciever to setup the LNB's? If I go to a bird that has both Linear and Circular, do I have to setup an additional entry for one or the other?

Yes for example at 101w I have both DirecTV and AMC-4 so two separate entries are needed. I use a DiSEqC 2 way switch to toggle between Linear and Circular polarized satellites!
Another Classic is G11 and Nimiq 1/3 both satellites are at 91w again two separate entries!

thats what I thought. I couldnt figure out how to scan circular when all that was lised is H and V.

circular is a little different

R=V
L=H

so if its a left handed polarity, you use Horizontal

I have a 4x1, what do I use to cap off the extra two fittings?

Dont you think they would be a little big to be sitting on those fittings? Also how do you deactivate them so they dont go around killing people? :shocked
