First time D* customer with a Feb. 25 install date seeking advice to mount two dishes. I live in Minnesota and I'm concerned about roof mounting the larger AT9 and Int'l. dishes due to potential wind and snow damage. I've been searching the web for roof mounting frames or braces, but no luck.

Can someone recommend a third-party mount or roof brace that would secure both the AT9 and 36" dishes? I have a 1-story rambler home with little/no opportunity for a pole mount or wall mount facing south. The optimum mount location for my structure likely would be on the back 1/2 of the garage roof, fastened into the roof frame, with the two dishes supported by a brace.

Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

I am in MN too and I would recommend just mounting both dishes with the existing mounts. I have 4 dishes on my roof (2 30" dishes, a 37x27 and a 18") and have no issues with wind or snow issues.

I have a brace on the back of one of the 30" dishes but the others are just fine. They've been up for 2 years :)
