DTV dish use

Can you use a Direct dish with Dish recievers? Sorry if this has been answered before. Thanks

Basically, no. The lnbs work differently. I think some of the dishes themselves can be interchanged.

Actually this isn't a complete no. I've seen a dish 500 working on a D12. Only about half of the transponders was there but it sorta worked lol
