Got a friend that has the new Genie. Got it last week and it worked fine for a week. Yesterday it started goin through the setup and would get to 98% and would just start the startup process all over again. Any ideas on how to get it to work?

Try unplugging it (you've already tried the typical reset ? (Red Button behind the access door) and seen if that fixed it ? It may, may not.
If not, I would try unplugging it for 5-10 minutes and plug back in and see if it makes it thru all the way, be patient.
Otherwise, give D* a call, it's new so they should take care of it regardless.
