The brand is the first to announce a timetable for DTS:X firmware upgrades, which other brands have promised and have been long-awaited by the industry and consumers.
The $2,999-suggested 9.2-channel AVR-X7200WA, its AVR-X7200W predecessor, the $2,199 9.2-channel AVR-X6200W, and the $1,299 7.2-channel AVR-X4200W will be the first models to get the firmware update, starting with the AVR-X7200W and WA on Jan. 28. The firmware update for the other two will be released on Feb. 18, although the D+M Group brand said final dates are subject to change.
