DSR 505 coming on sale.

According to my source in Windsor who was at the Store Manager meeting for The Source (the former Radio Shack stores in Canada); the DSR505 will come on sale for $199 in the fall.

Also, 12 PPV channels return Sept 8
CBC HD; CTV HD and KOMO HD coming in October.

SC employees were coy about what would be on the 4th new transponder. They stated they were getting a lot of requests for Centre Ice and more ethnic channels - many more requests than were received for TSN HD and Discovery HD. Perhaps most SC customers realize how little HD there is on these 2 Bell channels.

This week is a prime example:
Monday's Blue Jays/Yankees game on Sportsnet - available in HD
Tuesday's Blue Jays/Yankees game on TSN - No HD feed by TSN
Wednesday's Blue Jays/Yankees game on Sportsnet - available in HD

Discovery HD Theatre is a 100% HD channel, and one of the most popular in the US.. I personally think that they should add it, but TSN-HD sounds like it suffers from the same problem as ESPN-HD does in the US... where they only air 8-10 hours of HD content every week, everything else is upconverted SD..

And.. ESPN, in their infinite brilliance, is making ESPN2-HD.. because you know they have enough content for two channels now...

The Canadian Discovery HD channel is not the Discovery HD Theatre channel. It is a Bell owned channel that apparently does not even show all the Discovery HD that is made in Canada.
