It is good for DC2 channels that are in FP mode? I might have wrong mode, but basically the transponder is using DC2 encryption but not locked to specific receiver IDs. The picture quality of DC2 is very good. I dont believe the 4410 does MPEG4 or the .264/5, not sure if it will do the newer and fancier modes, but I may be wrong on this. Some of the 4410s can be controlled via ethernet, but not all. They need to be manually tuned and this is not for the faint of heart.
If the DC2 battery has died, then it is not of much use. The battery can be changed, but must be done very carefully. The DC2 battery should last for 3 to 7 years.
