Yep, DIRT member says his hands are still tied for a two Hopper 3 install. While its available from Retailers, it still is not available official for ordering from DISH. I think that is where the confusion lies.

Good point. How long has it been since Dish has sold switches, LNBs, etc directly to customers ?
OTA Dongles........My bad I was thinking of something else when I said this. How long has it been since Dish has sold switches, LNBs, etc directly to customers ?
Not at all in the same category of items. Dish sells remotes too....OTA Dongles
Nor is Dish sending techs out to locate and if necessary, replace "non-approved" connectors (or other parts). As you say, "if it ain't broke...".I will NOT be going back to existing connections and replacing them
can the power inserter be between the Hopper and the hub?
I will NOT be going back to existing connections and replacing them. They work. If it ain't broke....
Press on with pride TheKrell. If it works good, press on. I have a few T & B blues in my system and I am not worried about it.That's my maxim too. And considering the blue 1GHz connectors are drawing incoming fire, I'd hate to see what y'all would say about my TWIST on connectors!
They'll be twisted off once you upgrade to the Hopper.
By chance do you mean "axiom"? Not "maxim".That's my maxim too. And considering the blue 1GHz connectors are drawing incoming fire, I'd hate to see what y'all would say about my TWIST on connectors!
