I believe I have DP44 (per switch status in the receiver) and works fine with the current configuration. I have both 625 and 211 connected to the switch and are working.

If I disconnect 625, 211 stops working. Also tried connecting 211 to the cable coming to 625 but it does not work.

Can some one explain the reason for this?

Thanks for your reply.

I do not know that information as dishes and switch are not accessible for me. Is there any way from receiver menus to get that information?

There is a splitter before 625, I tried connecting to either of the splitter outputs to vip211 also but of no help.

Kazaparu,

No, there is no way to tell which ports you are using from the Check Switch. You will need to see which cables run to your 625. As already stated if you disconnect the receiver connected through the power inserter then any other receivers connected to the DPP44 will NOT work.

Lastly the device you identified as a "Splitter" behind your 625 is NO SUCH THING. It is a Dish Pro PLUS Separator, this is much different than a regular splitter, and should NOT be referred to as such.

If you did indeed use a regular Splitter instead of the Dish Pro Plus Separator, so you could connect both of the satellite inputs on the back of your receiver, it would NOT work at all not to mention possibly damaging the receiver, DESTROYING your DPP44 and or the LNBF's on your Dish(s).

If you wish to use the 211 at the location of the 625, you will NEED to remove the Dish Pro Plus Separator, then connect the one cable to the satellite input on the 211, and run the Check switch routine on the 211 receiver after connected. You could then use the 625 at the location of the 211 but only if you reconnect the Dish Pro Plus Separator at that location so you can connect both satellite inputs on the 625. Again run the Check switch routine on the 625 after being moved to a new location.

Thanks John for your suggestion, which works as you said.

It is Dish Pro Plus separator not splitter in the network. Sorry for the confusion.

I switched 625 (along with separator) and 211 and ran check switch routine.

Out of curiocity, what does this check swith do? I could not find much details any where.

Simple explanation is the check switch routine is a way for the receiver to know and configure itself for the type of switch used and what satellites you can receive.

Sound Glitches (not sync, other) 622

Running cable co wire directly next to dish wire
