Don't know What I'm doing...

I'm not a very technical person lol. But I thought I'd try and figure this one out by myself, stupid mistake. I went to Sam's Club and bought a surround sound system, really complicated that can hook up to xm, has fm/am, six disc changer etc. I bought a new 42" LCD TV too. So I get back home with everything, my husband is deployed, and go at it. I couldn't figure out the whole thing on how to attach the new tv to Dish at all so I moved the box from my bedroom to the living room. I must have done something right because I can see a screan that says "attention aquireing satalite signal" but has 0/5 tasks done and has been sitting on that for hours lol. Do I need to put the box back in the bedroom? The new tv doesn't have the part that the cable that comes out of the wall and plugs into so I can't figure it out! But somehow by tinkering with it, I was able to, I think this is how I did it, run the cable to the back of the box and attach the box to the TV with the pluggy thingies that are red white and yellow? Anyway, I hope I made sence lol. SO confused and I have no idea what anything is even called lol, what did I get myself into? I now have no TV at all lol!

If the box was in the bedroom that is where it needs to be. You would need to have a cable run from the dish to the living room if you want to move the box there. Call Dish get the DHPP protection, pay 29.99 of a service call and have it hooked up.
