Does the Speed of the H3 make Channel Surfing possible again?

I have read a number of comments about the speed of the H3 and wonder in practical terms, what the speed is for or does? Does it mean that after 15 years of digital I can finally go back to channel surfing like we used to be able to in the old days?

Not instant,
Need for slight buffer will always present some sort of delay.
but H3 is much faster than H1 or H2
