I am looking to install a receiver on my RV for use with the Trac Vision LF/SF. Im told I need a receiver with the with the Low Speed Data Port if I want the (in motion capability). I have noticed a decal over this port on the D10-300 receivers i see. Does this mean it is not a functioning port? Should i use the D10-200?

I don't know about the mentioned models, but in general latest DTV receivers use USB port with additional USB-to-serial converter to control it.

Wow thats an oldie. I had one way back when, maybe 2004, 2005? The low speed data port USED to work on those, and I was controlling it with a series 1 tivo. Somewhere in 2005 there was a firmware update and the port stopped working. Directv said it was a glitch and they'd get around to fixing it in another release but I'm pretty sure they never did.

From what I remember, the -200 serial control wasnt very reliable, at least for channel changing with a tivo. The -100's were pretty solid.

I know... Way back in 2005.... I think i will go with the D10-100 model and i am told by KVH that the update was done and working. I will find out soon i guess. Anybody have a new D10-100 with remote and card for sale?
