Does my Voom box have a coaxial digital output?

or just the Toslink? If it does which one is best?
Thanks,
J.

It has both! I haven't tried the Toslink with VOOM, so I can't compare.

I use the Toslink cable because that is the available input I had on my receiver. Conversely I use a coax digital input for my DVD.

Both signals are digital, and if you use a decent connection for the coax cable I doubt *very much* that you can tell the difference with the optical signal.

Best wishes,
CDH.

That's good to know. I'd rather use a good coaxial. Cheaper, more durable and versatile than the toslink... Is it the orange output on the back of the receiver?

I've used both (currently using coax), and I can't tell the difference. I have two sources hooked up to the same input, and my receiver chooses the coax over the digital signal, so I hooked it up coax, and my DVD-R optical.

No difference in quality that I can notice. Heck, the cable is only a few feet long. How much loss can you have in a cable that short?
