Does Cablevision own DirecTV?

Tonight a co-worker stated that Cablevision owns DirecTV.
Does anyone have any input on this?

NO! NewsCorp controls DirecTV.

Cablevision owns the now defunct Rainbow DBS and not DirecTV. They also own Rainbow Media Group which, among other things, consists of AMC, WE, IFC and even VOOM HD Networks.
