I have a 211z that I use with my Tailgater. I am building a wood box that will put my 211z, ext hard drive and Blu-ray player. I want to build the box as small as possible so I am wondering how much airflow I need to leave for the 211z.
I am trying to avoid that unless absolutely needed. The front of the box will be open and I will leave a few holes in the back. I am wondering if leaving an 1" of space above the 211z will be enough. If they don't put out a lot of heat I would imagine that is plenty of room.Maybe put vents in, and for good measure a USB powered fan.
It will not be enclosed. Completely open front and halfway open back. In retrospect, box is not the best term. More like a small two shelf bookcase.Mine is not hot.
The Joeys feel much hotter.
But I still wouldn't put it in an enclosed box that's for sure.
That's just good common sense.
