To answer your question and asking another. Customer has 4 standard receivers now. He is upgrading right now to 5 total receivers and wants HD and DVR on all TV's. I have not installed a 722 is the second tuner HD?

tuners and TV outputs are separate animals. Both the 622 and the 722 can output to 2 TVs, however in dual mode (each TV gets to watch whatever program you want) only one of those TVs get HD. the other is SD. In single mode you can have 2 TVs hooked up (one to HDMI and one to component) but they both have to watch the same thing.

The second tuner is also HD. Any HD played to the TV2 output will be down-converted for viewing but the source recording remains HD.

Ok What is the price of a 622 compared to a 722? Customer is an existing customer.
The retail list price is on a ViP722 appears to be around $550.

The current policy is to lease up to two HD DVRs per year. Wholesale changes seem to be discouraged.

Slim mode for HD?

Boston locals...which satellite?
