Do I need a DPP44 or DP34

Currently I have a D500 with DPP. I have a single coax from the D500 to a couple of diplexers and a seperator then to a 322. I want to move TV2 from the 322 to a single 211. Do I need to remove the diplexers and put a multiswitch in place? If so do I need a 34 or 44 ?

Thanks!

If all you have is the 322 and you want to add a 211, then you don't need a switch, the DPP 500 is just fine. 1 line to each.

Well, that's a partial answer if you're interested in HD. I'm assuming with the 211 that you will want to have the full HD capability. Some of HD is on one of the sats. at 110 and you should be able to get those channels OK with the D500. But most of the HD content is on 129, mirrored on 61.5, so you would need an additional or different dish and LNBs to receive that additional HD content! However no additional switch is necessary with the DPP Twin. You could still use both tuners in the 322.

For SD only, what you're doing is OK. If you're after the HD content, let us know and we'll give you the rest of the recipe.

Welcome, BTW...

Yes, remove the diplexers.

Of course you'll need a 2nd line coming down from the DPP Twin on the Dish 500. Just connect it to the same line that was going to your TV2 room.

Whether you get Dish 1000 has already been discussed.

BTW, if your TV with the 322 receiver is PIP capable, tie that TV2 line behind the 322 receiver into one of your other inputs on the TV. That should give you PIP.

A DP-34 is sufficient. A DPP-44 is only needed if you have more than two satelites AND more than two receivers.

Depending on how the coax is run, you can connect to a DP-34 instead of the first diplexer. From there feed the two receivers with two of the three outputs of the DP-34. You can use the diplexer on the dual channel receiver just as in the past.

I guess it all depends on the how the cable is ran. Unless you are feeding an outside antenna/cable, the diplexer must be to backfeed your TV2 Output. If so, and you won't be needing the TV2 Output with the addition of the 211, then you will not need the 2 diplexers.

I think DP Separators will only work with the "DishPro Plus Twin LNBF" or a "DishPro Plus 44 Switch".

Here's some info that will help, and I believe you are interested in the diagram on Page 3, lower right corner, "Three Orbital Locations, with DP Plus Twin".

If you only need 119 and 110, then don't add the second dish, the rest would be the same.

just run a wire from the open output on the DPP twin to where the first diplexer is. unscrew the "tv/ant" side wire from the diplexer and hook it to your new wire. Done
