Do I have the correct remote for 721?

Just bought 721 off ebay and it has a remote exactly like the one i have for my 501. Checked pics on DISH network site and it's not the one they have pictured with it. Will it still work for use with duel tunner and PIP option?

The 501 remote will work it but you won't have the PIP functions.

Like the new 6.0? and do you know if I would have any addtional features/buttons of the newer model remotes that would work on the 721?

The 721 remote has the magical red button and the PIP buttons. The 501 remote does not. I tried the 522 and other remotes but they did not work with my 721. You will need the 113144 model.

I don't know if anyone ever noticed this... the 721 remote is bigger than the 5xx remote!

tried it and the old remote did work but I still ordered a new one just to get any extras, but saved a few bucks by ordering it here(shipping was cheaper too)
