DN services discontinued

My first time posting -- hope this is the right forum to discuss issues with DN services. Several months ago we requested to cancel our subscription of basic DN services. Even though we did not authorize any additional packages after the promotional phase, we continue to see variations of month to month billing statements. Finally after a few weeks, we were notified that services have been cut off and instructed us to wait for further instructions to return their equipment. After another few weeks, we received two UPS boxes and promptly returned all their equipment, minus the actual dish (too big for the boxes provided). Two months have passed and now we are getting calls from their collection agency claiming that DN never receive the returned equipment. Unfortunately, we did not save any receipts or tracking number (prepaid UPS) and now we are obligated to pay $500. Any advice from you folks would be most appreciated -- is this problem an isolated case or should I suspect a growing trend of missing, stolen equipment or just downright fraud?
