DLNA on Joey over MoCa without HIC

When did the Hopper become a bridge? I've been using ethernet on the Joey exclusively for a while (well over a month) and just went to MoCa to test a few things related to s213. After a lot of problems, I realized my Hopper is acting as a bridge, with full access to my ethernet over MoCa.

Is this new to s213?

Based on the other 213 connectivity issues, my guess is yes and not a very smart bridge at that.
