Diurnal Variation of TV Signals from Day to Night

Over the years I've noticed that some OTA channels, especially those that are weaker in general, do not come in at night. Mornings are fine though. For example I can receive NY City channel 25 in the mornings. At night, it's gone. Have others experienced this? Thanks.

Yes. Early in the morning is the best for distant signals. It is all atmospheric. Even by mid morning the distant stations are gone.
