Distant Nets Question

I am considering switching from Dish to Direct TV. I have distant nets. About 5 years ago I had the signal measured at my house and did not receive OTA, even though my address says I should. I received waivers, and have had distant since then. I do not think I have the actual paper waivers or measurements anymore. They are years old anyway.

What would I need to do to get distant nets if I switch? The address checker of course says I don't qualify. I am hoping that showing a Dish bill will allow me to get the distants from direct tv.

Thanks

Mitch

Well, I just went back to the address checker and it is down. There ia a message that they won't give distants to people who can get locals via satellite. I fall into that category so I won't get distants. Damn. I don't want to give up the east coast feeds, but I am tired of Dish. I guess if Dish pulls my distants, I will switch.
