DisplaySearch: more LCD TVs sold worldwide than CRT!

I think I hear a whistling noise getting louder and louder as that falling rock picks up speed.

As LCDs get cheaper, CRTs just don't make any sense. Once an LCD costs, say 30% more than a CRT, how many would buy the CRT? Very few, I think. LCDs will likely be cheaper than CRTs in the not too distant future.

The space and power requirements are too great for CRT in many parts of the world. In the US, it's more about aesthetics.

Too bad--CRT is leaps and bounds above LCD in PQ.
