When do they plan on starting this and what satellite locations where they planning on using?

I want to be first on the list of supporters :)

I think the 2 new sat's were post to go up sometime this fall I know this stuff was discussed during this years Dish Summit Show.

This is some of the info from the Summit Show.

Dish Network will be launching two new satellites by this December.

On these two Satellites they will be relaunching Dish Network in FULL MPEG4. All current Dish Network Channels will be available in full MPEG4. And everything will be receivable with just one 18 inch dish.

SpaceFlight has some info on their site from time to time.

DEC
AMC 14
Launch time: TBD
Launch site: Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan

An International Launch Services Proton rocket with a Breeze M upper stage will launch the AMERICOM 14 communications spacecraft. The Lockheed Martin-built satellite will be used for EchoStar's DISH Network service.

Spaceflight Now | Tracking Station | Worldwide launch schedule

Echostar 11 is scheduled for Sea Launch sometime in Oct/Nov(this all depends on when sea launch actually returns to flight).

AMC14(100% leased by E*) is scheduled for a Russian launch in Dec, date TBD.

So after both the new satellites are successfully launched, assuming no deployment problems, the new service should start within 3-6 months. Too optimistic?

Ive seen where E11 is claimed to be in service by end of 2007. Now if that happens is anyone's guess.

Sea Launch is getting repaired, and one sat is already set as the first launch(rumored mid October). Hopefully E11 will be 2nd and this could be doable.

I think if AMC14 goes up in Dec, then Id say we'll start seeing some action in early 08. The service could be up by Late 1st qtr id think.

Yeah I would not think that it would take too long 3-6 months sounds about right but not for sure. Scott might have a better idea how things would work for sure.

I got downgraded to 4.05
